The reason for creation.
I needed virtual users with roster and capability to send (over HTTP) incomming messages to some external services.
After few fail attempts to get it under OpenFire (I usually use it), I decided to look for other solutions, but unfortunately haven't found any suitable.

Distributed as freeware but without sources.
Publishing it in a case if anyone is looking for something similar...

    Written in Java and based on Apache vysper (v0.7).
    Aalmost covers my needs (with a few exceptions), so the next version is unlikely to be released anytime soon.

  - Allows to arrange integration with external services over http (http callbacks)

• Adjustable users restrictions

  Allows to customise user permissions for the server functions: users/rooms searching, rooms managemnt and so on

• Adjustable presence status (server side)

  Allows to setup users presence status and prevent from changing it themselves

• Chat rooms (*)

  Classic group chats with capability to handle messages over HTTP callbacks

• File sahring (*)

  Provides local storage and file transferring
